Ghana to host 2008 African Nations Cup
Ghana were awarded the 2008 African Nations Cup here Thursday after defeating Libya 9-3 in a vote among Confederation of African Football (CAF) executive committee members.The outcome was a surprise as many observers believed Libyan promises to pump millions of dollars into new stadia would sway delegates in favour of the North African state.

Ghana Happiest Moment
Dr Amoah says Caf will not regret awarding his country the right to host the Nations Cup.
"This was the happiest moment of my life," Amoah said.
"It is a great day for my country and for African football.
"Hosting the 2008 Nations Cup is a huge boost for my nation and will help develop our economy.
